Latest innovations in the satellite communication industry by experts from around the world.
The following week will be the fourth edition of LATSAT, the most important executive event in the telecommunications, connectivity and satellite communication sector in Latin America. As in previous years, this fourth edition of 2017 will be held in Mexico City, thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT).
The LATSAT event will be held at the Sheraton María Isabel Hotel in the Mexican capital, on May 23 and 24 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the morning, planned by the Euroconsult technology consultant. In this edition it will be attended by more than 40 panelists from private companies and public institutions that are experts in their field, coming from 25 countries in Latin America and the rest of the world.
Amongst the names of satellite internet companies, AXESS stands out, which will participate in the panel called VSAT Services and Opportunities; a technology that allows the connection of networks in places of difficult access. The conference will present the CEO of the satellite Internet company for Latin America, Mauricio Segovia, who has been its leader since 2003 and has more than 20 years of experience in the sector. Under his administration, the company has made a profit of more than 50 million dollars.

Mauricio Segovia has a broad experience in the communication and satellite connectivity sector. His objective during this participation will be to present the VSAT technology solutions and applications implemented in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Peru. In addition, he will share with the attendees future trends and market requirements; something that is essential that all participants of satellite internet companies know to continue in the forefront.
Other large international internet companies, such as América Móvil, AT&T México, Colombian Air Force, SCT, TotalPlay, Milbank and the Federal Telecommunications Institute, will also participate in the commercialization of television and video services, national security, civil protection, and connection improvements for end users. The forum has been held since 2014 and aims to create a space for the main companies and internet providers in the sector to meet and discuss the most relevant issues in the region, increase cooperation and dialogue between government and private initiative, and give companies the opportunity to create long-term business associations and agreements.
