The following week will be the fourth edition of LATSAT, the most important executive event in the telecommunications, connectivity and satellite communication sector in Latin America. As in previous years, this fourth edition of 2017 will be held in Mexico City, thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT).

The conference will present the CEO of the satellite Internet company for Latin America, Mauricio Segovia, who has been its leader since 2003 and has more than 20 years of experience in the sector. Under his administration, the company has made a profit of more than 50 million dollars.

Mauricio Segovia has a broad experience in the communication and satellite connectivity sector. His objective during this participation will be to present the VSAT technology solutions and applications implemented in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Peru. In addition, he will share with the attendees future trends and market requirements; something that is essential that all participants of satellite internet companies know to continue in the forefront.
Other large international internet companies, such as América Móvil, AT&T México, Colombian Air Force, SCT, TotalPlay, Milbank and the Federal Telecommunications Institute, will also participate in the commercialization of television and video services, national security, civil protection, and connection improvements for end users. The forum has been held since 2014 and aims to create a space for the main companies and internet providers in the sector to meet and discuss the most relevant issues in the region, increase cooperation and dialogue between government and private initiative, and give companies the opportunity to create long-term business associations and agreements. All meetings and conferences will be transmitted in English and Spanish simultaneously through the use of translators. (See satellite phone)
