Norwegian Offshore Wind Service Provider Chooses AXESS Networks for its Maritime Operations in North Sea

Athens (Greece), April 15, 2022 – AXESS Networks Maritime, a global leader of satellite-based maritime communications solutions, announced today, that it has entered into an agreement with a leading offshore wind service provider to deliver encompassing connectivity services for its maritime operations in the North Sea. The strategy of the well-known offshore wind company is to provide a fleet of state-of-the-art service vessels to the offshore wind industry, combined with a suite of adhering services, to reduce levelized cost of energy (LCOE) for offshore wind.


The satellite connectivity service is delivered to the company’s first two newbuilds of a series of Walk-to-Work Commissioning Service Operations Vessels (“CSOV”). After delivery, the company will have a fleet of SOV vessels designed specifically to support commissioning works during the construction of wind farms, as well as supporting operations and maintenance during the lifetime of offshore wind farms, bottom fixed and floating


AXESS Maritime supports the company’s key operation with a multi-year contract via hybrid VSAT set-up, to ensure seamless connectivity. Within the service AXESS offers a separate crew and client network on an ST Engineering iDirect platform with the ability to up- and downgrade on demand.
